Sural Artery


- See: Sural nerve:

- Anatomy:
    - arises from popliteal artery  or from sural artery;
    - it runs adjacent to Sural Nerve, & regularly giving off small branches to it;
    - it gives off a branch to skin that supplies upper part of the calf, which corresponds to the subfascial course of nerve and its artery;
    - artery gives off small branches to the skin only in lower two-thirds of the leg, corresponding to the suprafascial course
