- Lupus erythematosus anticoagulant, anticardiolipin antibodies, and antibodies with false-positive VDRL test results are a group of antiphospholipid antibodies frequently found in patients with SLE and other related autoimmune diseases;
- patients with SLE average have frequency of 34% for lupus erythematosus anticoagulant and 44% for anticardiolipin antibodies;
- w/ SLE, there is higher prevelance of h/o of thrombosis, neurological disorders, or Thrombocytopenia
