- for constipation; bowel prep;
- mixed with Kayexalate to prevent fecal impaction and aid in elimination of potassium in cases of hyperkalemia;
- osmotic / emollient laxative;
- dose: 30-60ml of a 20-70% solution prn;
- useful laxative with renal failure
