- See: Penicillin Family

- For Staph;
- Adult: 4-18 gm 4-6hr; or Adult:100-200mg/kg/24hr;
- Watch for intersitial nephritis with high doses;
- Use high dose (12-18gm/day) for S. meningitis;
- Reduce dose w/ Renal Failure;
- Good diffusion from blood into CSF only with inflammation;
- Note: Ratio of CSF to Blood Level (%): Normal Meninges: nil;

Inflammed Meninges: 10;
* w/ osteomyelitis
