- hemodynamically signifcant hypotension in the absence of hypovolemia;
- refractory congestive CHF or Hypotensive patients in whom vasodilators cannot be used because of effects on blood pressure;
- for short term use in patients w/ cardiac decompensation secondary to depressed contractility; dose dependent
