Technique for Microvascular Vein Grafting

- Discussion:
    - indicated when vessel anastomosis cannot be performed w/o tension;
- Vein Graft Harvest:
    - donor site:
          - dorsum of hand, dorsal and volar aspect of forearm, & dorsum of foot;
          - veins should roughly approximate the diameter of the vessel;
    - cauterize small side branches w/ bipolar forceps well away from vessel wall;
    - after vein grafts have been removed, reverse them end for end use for arterial reconstruction;
    - reversal is not necessary for venous reconstruction
