Acumed Small Bone Fixator

This lightweight, versatile, rigid fixation system provides stability in areas which would otherwise be difficult to treat, like open or comminuted injuries of the metacarpals and metatarsals. - Key features: 1. No custom pin inventory - The Acumed small bone fixator used standard K wires to gain fixation. Each housing assembly will accommodate wire sizes from 0.035 to 0.078 inches in diameter. Smooth or threaded K wires can be used. K wires save OR time and reduces cost, while eliminating the need to predrill to install custom pin stock. 2. Versatile pin placement - each set of pins can be placed in nearly any position. The unique combination of the housing pivots and the outrigger assembly allow the surgeon to rotate the device in multiple plains. 3. Rigid Fixation - The combination of the housing assemblies, outrigger assembly, and the shaft bars, assure a rigid construct for secure fixation to stabilize the fracture.
